BASF Researchers win Award for Nanocomposite based films
BASF researchers, Franca Tiarks and Jörg Leuninger of BASF’s polymer research and development architectural coatings, won this year’s Farbe & Lack award. Awarded by the German trade magazine of the same name, the award was presented during this year’s symposium of the coatings and pigments section (APi) of the Society of German Chemists (GDCh). Tiarks and Leuninger received the award for their paper, “Aqueous Nanocomposites –dispersions of nano-structured silica-acrylate particle–a new generation of binders,” co-authored by Harm Wiese from BASF’s polymer research and Bernhard Schuler, head of development, architectural coatings and construction chemicals.
